Thank you, Castle. I, uh, i never would’ve been able to solve this case without your help… Well, um, good luck on your new book. I know that you’ll do it proud.
One of the reasons i love doing rewatches is because of scenes like this. I had completely forgotten how much i loved it and now, looking back after seeing how far they’ve come, it just touches my heart even more. I love the hesitation. It’s the first time she’s admitting to him that she couldn’t have closed a case without him, it’s the first time she’s actually acknowledging that his presence does mean something to her and the saddest part is that it happens when he’s leaving. The sheer multitude of unsaid feelings in this scene is wonderful - you can see they’re both dying to say more but they’re afraid to. I think what i find doubly fantastic is just knowing that one and a half years from this point there’s no way - no way at all - that they’re ever going to be able to even consider walking away from what they have, from each other. ♥
